Our Team

JIM TSAPRAILIS, Physiotherapist:

Jim was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario and graduated with high honors from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1998. He captained the Western Mens’ Soccer team to several provincial championships, a silver and bronze national championship and was twice named to the Varsity All-Canadian team. He started working with professional and college athletes in a Henry Ford Sports Medicine Physical Therapy Clinic in Michigan before opening up Sport And Spine Physiotherapy clinic in Sarnia in 2005.

Jim’s treatment approach incorporates correcting faulty alignment, movement patterns and muscle imbalances. He is passionate about returning his clients to their maximum potential whether in sport, occupation, lifestyle or performance. He uses a thorough assessment to accurately identify the “root cause of the symptom” and reveal the underlying diagnosis. Treatment incorporates manual therapy (hands on treatment to increase joint and tissue mobility, flexibility and muscle activation), exercise prescription, client education and modalities to help restore optimal health. He aims to empower his clients with education and injury prevention strategies so they can return to, and maintain their optimal level of function. He believes in a hands on approach and his treatment philosophy is very proactive and research based. He has a special interest in treating running, golf and sports/activity related injuries so clients can return to the activities they really enjoy. Jim is passionate about offering the best and latest treatment techniques to his clients, constantly learning the latest rehabilitation skills through physiotherapy post-graduate training courses.

Jim has worked with clients of all ages and abilities, volunteering at various local sports events. Jim is passionate about living an active lifestyle and continues to participate in soccer, running marathons, and weight training. He is married to Pauline, a local physiotherapist at Bluewater Health, and they are both blessed with three beautiful children: Alexis,  Ioanna and Georgios.
